Focus Worhshop with the South Africa Springbok Sevens Rugby Team

So what was South Africa like you ask?

It was amazing. So many wonderful things happened and many unexpected connections were made.

It was a wonderful experience to work with such a world class team. The guys were very professional and bursting with energy. We had a lot of fun. The above workshop took place in October, 2012 in Pretoria, South Africa.

My time in South Africa was pivotal for me. I knew when I got accepted to present at the ACRE conferences that wonderful things would happen. And they did. I believe that our thoughts create our reality, so I thought about what my ideal experience would be like over there, and the reality that I experienced outshone my already high expectations.

I was honoured to be asked to deliver the closing keynote address at the Education conference and did several focus workshops.

But in fact the greatest highlight for me was when I went down to Cape Town after the conferences. There I connected up with Mark Dodsworth - founder of Red Zebra Foundation. He kindly asked me to do a facilitation with some youth at risk on the top of Table Mountain. I did this and found it to be extremely rewarding.

I look forward to my return to South Africa this year and am grateful for all of the international adventrues that my first trip helped create for me.

Big Ideas For The Big Stage - Book Launch June 5th, 2012

Contributing Authors Contributing Authors
It was a great pleasure to host the celebration that brought together 12 of the 13 contributing authors to Big Ideas For The Big Stage. We hosted the book launch in the stunning Marche Restaurant in Brookfield Place located at 42 Yonge Street in downtown Toronto. Guests came dressed sharply and ready to network. All of the authors spoke briefly about what it has meant to be a part of the book and what they have to offer. Following the authors' comments, guests had a chance to meet the authors, get books signed, and mingle and network.

It was a successful event that was satisfying as an organizer, participant and emcee. I look forward to bringing more like-minded positive entrepreneurs together again in the future.
